I received my master’s in social work from Temple University. I spent a year interning at Morris Home in West Philadelphia, a substance abuse treatment center for trans and gender non-conforming individuals. There I helped clients navigate sobriety through an anti-oppressive, trauma informed, gender affirming lens. I spent my second-year internship as an individual therapist at Jefferson Hospital, specializing in Internal Family Systems and CBT. Prior to entering the field as a therapist, I was a case manager working with people living with HIV and helping them navigate healthcare systems.
I decided to become a therapist after going on my own healing journey. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client doing the work and flourishing. I feel honored when clients invite me into their world, sharing their struggles, triumphs, hopes, fears, and the absurdities life throws at us. As a queer person in recovery, I have a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community and people with substance use disorder. In my personal life I enjoy making art and music; I’m an avid reader and complete book nerd.
