Meet the Team

Daniel Glaubinger Headshot

Daniel Glaubinger, LSW (he/him)
Psychotherapist

I believe that healing and growth happen in safe and supportive relationships, with boundaries built on trust and genuine care. In order to be able to build an authentic relationship between therapist and client, I believe it is important for the therapist to use transparency around their own perspective without centering themselves, and approach the client's experience nonjudgmentally, with curiosity and cultural humility, valuing both our unique differences and areas of shared experience. I aim to be responsive to each client’s needs and respect their autonomy within and outside of the therapy room. I don't believe that I have it all figured out and I will not tell you how you should live your life, but hope to support you in figuring out how you would like to live it.

My training and experience as a therapist has centered on working with LGBTQIA+ adults, particularly trans and nonbinary people, using a relational and psychodynamic approach, from a feminist, trauma-informed, and social justice-oriented perspective. I also bring perspective from my experience as a Special Education teacher around the different ways people communicate, process information, and learn, as well as the importance of accessibility and advocacy in disability justice. I am not a “blank slate” therapist and am honest about how my identity and experience as a parent and a white, fat, queer, trans person informs how I understand and move through the world, and how I show up as a therapist. I’m interested in systems and the ways politics and social justice are intertwined with both individual mental health and the system of mental healthcare in our society. I value principles of harm reduction, anti-racism, and HAES (health at every size), am neurodivergent-affirming, sex work-affirming, and poly/kink-affirming.

I hope that you’ll reach out if you’d like to connect!
